Windows 7 Visual Style for XP

What's New?
- 2 substyles (Aero and Glass)
- Enhanced window borders, titlebars, and toolbar background
- 2 shellstyles
- Many more...

With 32 and 48-pix icon support. It includes Segoe UI fonts and a wallpaper. For best results, please install the said fonts in your \Windows\Fonts directory and enable ClearType. Also Windows SP2 is the OS I'm using right now. Maybe there are some bugs when using Windows SP1.

To make your texts in the start menu not being cut off, in your desktop rename "My Computer" to "Computer", "My Documents" to "Documents", "My Network Places" to "Network", "Internet Explorer" to "Internet". Also in your My Documents folder, rename "My Music" to "Music", "My Pictures" to "Pictures" and "My Videos" to "Videos". You can also rename "My Recent Documents" to "Recent Items" if you like. Then customize your start menu by right clicking your start button, click Properties, go to Advanced Tab and scroll to Network Connections and make it "Display as Connect to menu". Finally Click OK.

This Visual Style is based on Windows 7 PDC Theme for XP by Vishal Gupta.

First, let me say I like this artist's work. The Windows 7 visual styles are smooth and beautiful, like Vista. I have a couple of issues with them. First, there is no .Theme file supplied to color several items which aren't included in a visual style, such as menu backgrounds and tooltips. Also, without a .Theme file, the visual style doesn't appear on the Themes tab in Display Properties. I have always hated the default beige tooltip color in XP, and only a .Theme file could change that. The other issue, which I've seen with all Vista themes for XP, is that the Min, Max, and Close buttons don't match up with the unseen field which is defined for them. This may not bother most people, but I find it intolerable. A little work would make this one excellent.

I am also curious as to where the .theme file is. It appears that most of the themes on this site don't have one included, and I just don't have the time or skills necessary to create one.
