Two basic steps..
1. "patch" your windows xp
2. install this downloaded file.

STEP ONE: Ever version of windows has a special file called UXTHEME.dll that allowes a user to change themes. Microsoft, however, only allows you to install the themes THEY provide..so they LOCK this uxtheme.dll file.

Fortunately, you can EASILY unlock it (it won't harm your PC ..at all) and enjoy all the awesome new themes the internet has to offer for windows xp.

I'd love to share the detailed steps, but I don't want you to feel overwhelmed :) All I can say is, if you follow the instructions..it's VERY easy (and totally rewarding) to see your awesome new theme for xp instead of that boring 7+ years old default theme.

To allign/move desktop icons wherever you want, follow these simple intructions :)

1.Simply right click anywhere on your desktop.
2.In the menu that pops up, click on "arrange icons by" and a new menu pops up.
3. in this menu, UNCHECK the checkmark next to AUTO ARRANGE.

VIOLA!

you can now drag and drop your icons and arrange them however you like.
