Artist's Note
My first animated Windows Media Player skin. Every time I'm using The Skins Factory's WMP skins I want to create skin like theirs! Their skins have rich 3D animations and perfect lighting effects. Few days ago, I started to make this skin with 3Ds MAX. Because of the animations, SkinStudio is not useable for creating it. I have to directly edit the wms file by notepad. And in fact, I really really suffered from switching programs between PhotoShop, 3Ds MAX, GIF Movie Gear, notepad and some folders. But at last, I made it and I think it's good enough for me, a beginner, to show you and sharing with you!

WOW! I read "3D animations" and thought "this will work only in WMP10". It works perfectly in 9 as well. Some of the best edge work I've seen, it's amazing. The subtle animation in the dark fin panels is a beautiful touch. Only two complaints and they're very minor: the video and playlist buttons aren't toggles, and the tooltip activation areas seem to be mislocated -- "Seek" and "Volume" appear for everything (probably a side effect of having the other buttons enclosed within those activation areas), and the open file button often displays the tooltip for the buttons on either side of it. If readers out there are hesitating to try this, download it right now!

agreed. Although I could punch holes in the coding all day with this one (Which I'm not...), the graphicswork is some of the best I've ever seen. Well dne.

The tooltip areas on the sliders are an issue with sliders, it can't be fixed. You must be aware that the skin is made out of rectangles, custom shapes. And WMP doesn't map the tooltip areas on sliders.
On the skin:
It's a nice skin and I like the animation (I have to look into 3d myself) but I miss some functions. But it's a good step in the right direction! :)
