I'd take th idea of a super small prog window that looks like an icon and expand on it. 1st - having to click those rediculously small buttons is pretty silly, better to just use keyboard shortcuts and make the skin a nice looking as possible. Chose some sort of abstract form or just anything but a windows icon and make that into the player window. since its so small do lots of diff colors for broader appeal and keep the time counter as the name - even better add the track name to that.
