This certainly is controversial. I like the over all look, which made me download it, but using it is finicky, the buttons are too small, text is poor, BUT the window grafix are very good, and take a step back, it looks out of this world..... However this is a winamp skin, not a painting, and as a skin it falls on its arse. It belongs in a gallery, not on your monitor

JazzMidi's right. people work a lot on skins like this. well, i have seen some crappy skins, that i really believe that were made in MS paint. but this skin rocks. nice job Pordey

I like this skin. I like it alot. But it would be better if the shading weren't so shiny. Maybe tone it down. I think I'm the only one here who doesn't think it's dark enough.

Nice and Dark without being a dull bore of a thing. Not that great, y'know... but good concept, a fair bit of room for improvement. "Smooth"

My review rating would have been higher, but I must agree with Indigo's review. Larger buttons would make this skin nicer and more functional.

Everything looks great, but the play,stop,pause,ect buttons are way to small.

I've never really liked any of the Pordey skins, this just drives that point home. This is just a dull, lacking skin that I find highly over rated.

its okay - I have nothing much to say about a skin that is mostly black and so therefor I dont think it has much artistic flare !

This skin wasn't too bad at all. I haven't seen Pordey's other skins but after having seen Crystal Bastard, I have a greater appreciation of color usage. The etreme gloss on it was a little much, I don't think there are any spotlights in my computer that can cause that kind of glare, and I found it extraordinarily gay how when you went to move it, you got a large moving icon. Keep an arrow with a smaller one next to it next time and I'll gove you five more points. Color usage, like I said, is plain but good, and not boring at all.

whats the big deal with pordey, all of his skins get 100's - in my opinion; it blows some serious ass, obviously a few other people have the same feelings or his public rating wouldn't be 61.79

Pordey is one of the best skinners for WinAmp.....People who gave him such orrible review are probably jelous of his talent.

Just because you don't like Pordey's work and/or the amount of skins he has made, it doesnt mean you have to mark him down. I give him a 100 for his hard work, lets see any of you make some graphics like this. (tip to Pordey: you should change your name so you can get higher scores since people hate you. Just a thought.)

The original design was excellent so I must give this a good rating but I also must agree that a designer with your talents should REALLY start a whole new concept. I mean the first couple solor changes were alright, but now it is reminding me of a pager or an IMac (Both overdone!)

This theme looks pretty cool, but i do not like the way that they lock into each other via the bottom, (i do not keep my winamp like that) then it looks dumb. but pretty good skin anyway

At first I thought, well just another dark skin that's pretty unusable in the long run. But then I saw that the buttons were excellently lit up. Unfortunately not all of the text is lit up and some parts are just unreadable. Then why is it still there I wonder? Touch it up a little and this will be the first actually usable dark colored skin I've seen with my own eyes. It sure seems to me that there's rnough professionalism behind the skin to make this happen.

Come on Pordey.. You had your 15 minutes of fame with the first skin. I like your Sonique skin because it's DIFFERENT. Now try something new for Winamp, these remakes are getting old.

Pordey, what did you do to get so much hate mail? The skin is very good, but doesn't tie in with my LCARS theme. I did use this skin before I went LCARS mad and found it quite functional and it has a good appearance, although I would prefer it if the design wasn't made so the bottom runs into the next part of Winamp, i.e. EQ/Playlist/Browser, it's a bit of an arse when you only want to see the main window.

It's certainly obvious that a lot of work went into this, but the overall effect doesn't quite flow together. The detail level is astounding, however, and I like dark skins.

If you know anything about graphics then you know a lot of work went into this design. I like this skin, very smooth and a lot of detail. Please keep making winamp skins like this Pordey. They are just Awesome!

I changed my rating to 97 because I like what you did to the visualization.. like the aiwa logo thingy. Only problems is that it only looks really good when it's all docked (-1) and I liked the old playlist buttons better. (-2).

Just the same with all Pordey skins. On the one hand they are just perfect in detail, but on the other hand graphically overloaded...boy, keep it clean and simple!

This is a good skin. Pordey should have worked a little bit more on some details. I don't like the Vis display, and I couldn't use it cause it's too black. A little more silver would do the trick! Oh yea, I also agree that Pordey makes too many clones of his skins.

This is why Gllen does the ratings. Compare this skin to other skins in the 64-rating-range. It clearly doesn't fit there. Alright, it doesn't work well unless it is docked in the full configuration, but when it is, it looks better than any other skin out there. So it's not perfect, but it's pretty damn good. (v 2.22): Hey Pordey, thanks for doing this upgrade. When this skin first came out, it was immediately my favorite, and I had it as my default for a long time. Now that it's fully updated, maybe I'll go back to it!

While I like dark skins, and this has nice form, it's too damn dark. It's not pleasantly dark, it's just too dark. I like the EQ sliders tho, very nice.

I like dark skins and this certainly is one. The problem with this skin is the fact that it only looks good docked which takes up too much room. Another problem is the visibility. What is it with Pordey and visibilty anyways??

Too dark, IMO, although the name suggests that's intentional :) I don't like the top down shading used on the buttons at all. I don't like the shaded font very much either. Also, the seemingly random color of a few characters in the font - red parentheses, yellow stars, green dashes - looks too weird. Finally, everything much too hard to see in winshade mode.

I like dark skins. There aren't too many, and those that do exist really suck. I think this is the best skin I've ever seen. I think it's a shame that people rate this skin badly because they don't like the author. If you don't like his others, that's fine, but no reason to mark this perfectly good skin down. I think this skin should be #1, because I have about 20 other skins on my HD that look like Beatforge v.2.0 I think they should've kept to their original format.

this skin is really rather amazing- one of the most creative winamp skins by far, and a departure from his normal skins, however its kind of difficult to use.

Anyone who gave this skin 90 or below doesn't know what a real skin is when they see one. This is the ultimate skin. It is the only skin I have seen that is worthy of #1. I use this skin all the time. Everything about this skin rocks! *<:)

Well I used to love this skin, and now I realise why I liked it...i liked it how it all fit together nicely, but now that I look at it...it ain't so great...the eq sux and the visualisation is just plain awful...I liked the styling though...and one more thing, please stop releasing them in 16,777,216 different colour schemes....
