Great idea, but not perfectly exacuted. It's oringinal, uses tranparency oringinally, but, sometime transparency can really suck if you do not have a matching background.

This gets a high score for originality and total cleverness. Doesn't look to bad but not the best skin I have ever seen as far as aisthetics go. Still, a fine piece of work dude - actually using it now. Well done.

i like the way some thnigs look... a lot of my windows backgrounds are dark, so it looks very nice on that. the rating should be updated, it does look better than the original by far!

good start. I think this idea can be expounded upon and definetly get some consistancy between the EQ and the playlist...version 2 of this skin could be very cool.

Excellent use of transparency. Complex yet not overstyled. EQ could be better. It needs a spot on the titlebar for grabbing and moving.

very fuckin' sweet. love the transparency, but i dont really like the playlist. good winshade mode, and very cool on a dark screen. even werks over windows grey. and do you have any idea how hard it would be to do the transparent chessboard thing? that would take hours

Yes, I've dowloaded the similar skin from the www.winamp.com and I like it, realy - this is the current skin on my winamp. The idea of making winamp half-transparent is great. If Calpo'll try to make transparent pixel grid like the chessboard, it'll be much smoother and the best skin.

answer me a question... if youre going to go to all that trouble of the excellent transparency and just the thinking up of such an original idea, why not take the time to go ahead and make some decent buttons? if youre going to do all that then you have to make the rest of the skin look good. smooth it out, make it more consistent, and put together some buttons (dont jack any fusion stuff anymore it look like crap) and then at least the main will be enough for a much better rating.

Very cool idea. Transparent areas are pretty hard to see over a white background. This skin receives a 60 solely on the merit of it's main window, the EQ and PL skins are pretty plain and unchanged from the default, especially the PL which isn't changed at all. Good work though, very promising skin design with a lot of room for improvement and evolution.

Actually, you can see the stuff in the 'clear' part perfectly if it's over something darker, obviously. I tried it and it worked...but you can't see it over white at all. The EQ and playlist look pretty much like the base skin though. And why's gllen using a flat eq setting now? if it's normal, it's red and yellow and green and stuff instead of that dark green.

This gets a great score for originality - it may not be visible or practical in all cases, but it's a good idea and its different.
