Artist's Note
Still quite a bit to do on this. Done in the normal apps - 3DS MAX and PS6

trendy as hell, yet great. If you had made it much more complex, it would have been amongst the top 10

I rarely say this but: this NEEDS text. The renderings are tight as hell. But, like Adam said, the background needs more complexity and variation. Work on it a bit more....you'll get there

tooooo trendy. we've seen this all before....i give it an "f" for originality, "a" for technique, and "c" overall. use your imagination and talent for creativity, not popular duplication.

it looks a little bottom heavy but nice. move the renders up in the composition and you'd be in business

I agree that it is trendy but it also has elements that make it unique, it has a very anime feel to it, and although somewhat complex it is still simple...

Why does AdamTT always give a higher rating, the more unoriginal a wp is? Badmind, that's a lovely justification for making a wp that looks exactly like 100 other wps that have posted here in the last few months. Yes, you are indeed an artiste

I have noticed that some people do not like the fact that this piece is 'Trendy'.
For me, my work is about pushing the limits of my technical ability using the most modern, up-to-date styles and techniques that are around. At the moment that happens to be the 'New Media' style of work. Artists like Jens Karlsson, Mike Young, Otto Greenslade and Shinter are pioneering the way forward in the digital design world with this style.
If alot of their/my work seems unoriginal, just take a look at the history of art. Many artists have based their work on a certain styles for hundreds of years. It is virtually impossible to create totally original pieces every time.
This style of design takes modernism to the extremes. It is created by using the most modern software and hardware available. I am a modernist and I try to create modern art, using modern tools.
I would love to think that I may be contributing to the most original and exiting form of digital art that I have seen for years.
Where do you draw the lines? All of the work here is created by using the same techniques, and software/hardware.
Does that make everyone's work 'unoriginal'?
