DJ Rainbow is a DJ around where I live, she is very good. I decided to take some pictures i had of her and make this wallpaper

I work for a stock photographer and he would have my balls if i took this picture. Cropping does help. Your intention is good, but my question in, "what is the main focus?"
Is it her, or the guys elbow? If it is her, i want to see what she doing. I know she is djing, but what is she DJing? what typr of music, is she good, what does the crowd look like? If whe is your friend, ask her if you can take more pictures. Everyone gets pictures of DJ's spinnig, why not get a pic of her from behind, or over her sholder so you can see the crowd. if you have some tungsten film, use some quarze flashes and set them up pryer to the event starting, that wasy you can get the crowd and some good action shots with her.
You know if you are good... you can make a good living doing it.
3 flashes, a couple 600watt quartz and a good Hassleblaud will make you a great living. Hell try to go Hassleblaud digital, then you could just print the photos right there and seel the damn things...
Give us another one to critique. this will be fun.

i try not to be overly critical of things, but this is pretty bad. it's just a poorly done photo with a blur effect. try getting a more interesting angle (after reading up a bit on photography). lighting is pretty crap too. uninteresting and boring
