This is actually the first of my recent (read: last week) works. Quite simple but I like it.

Very nice. Although it may seem simple in entirety, the vectorized circles coinciding with a subtle contrast of color give the desktop a "clean-cut" essence. Another plus is that the design is featured from right to left which is helpful to Windows users who still follow with the left-to-right setup.

I like the design, but the background gradient bugs me. When you use 2 contrasting colours like blue and orange you get this ugly grey area in between that I personally try to avoid.

agreed. you shouldn't use complimentary colors in grads, because they meet and it's blah.
