I like it, but the gun is pretty rough. THe whole thing in general could use some tightening up.
Right track though.

I'd try experimenting with the splatter--I think this would look awesome if the "blood spots" were red. You could try dark reds and bright reds to see what would work best (I'm guessing a darker color, nothing too bright and in-your-face)
This is a good foundation but could use a bit of tweaking to make it stand out more
