I like the style, but I'm not sure how usable it is. I like that character though.

You can accomplish the same thing in Photoshop, it's just more involved. I think for doing B&W vectors quick and easy Live Trace has to be the best thing since sliced bread.
Cool background, actually. Nice retro scheme.

First of all, I don't have Illustrator CS2 and second of all I don't belive that i ever heard about Live Trace.
