the scale of the pixels seems inconsistent - some is 1:1, some other things are magnified, others still have been redone as smooth vectors. i'm a sucker for the 16-bit though.

I agree with Invision, the general ground/platforms are on a different scale than the rest of the objects, and it bugs me (being a huge fan of SMW). I like the new background style, the old leaves kind of kill it. The same idea but for just a scene, with no mario / objects would be killer.
