Artist's Note
I saw an amazing view of the sky on my ride home today. However, I didn't have a camera handy so I made a quick sketch and tried to replicate what I saw, in photoshop. Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated (if I get enough, I'll remake), as would tips on making the clouds look more like clouds >.

Very cool style. Could use some more work. But a very nice start. I hope you take into consideration some of the critiques below and work on this more, because it has a lot of potential.

Looks like an explosion out of Star Trek. Cool.
I think I get the idea of what you saw, and in my opinion, you've pulled it of quite well for the first shot. I'm not sure about how to do the clouds, but if you could give the 'dark' clouds (assuming that's what they're supposed to be) a bit more body and definition...

This looks very nice, almost like something hermik would make. You should make the sun a bit more distinguished though.

Reminds me of one time I saw the sky similar to that but the bottom there was a huge flat cloud like a heavenly field and on the sides the bottom connected with the large cloud above,it made an opening on the center,an otherworldly entrance where the sun was the guardian.
Anything that makes me have such a nice memory definitely deserves my kudos. :)
