It's been more than a year since my last submission, and what a year it's been.
I'd first like to thank James "Liqachu" Wignall for sending me some of his work, for a future collaboration. I've once again bastardized his original work (the flowers and flower accessories in the bottom half) but his original work was a driving inspiration for this.
Included is four wallpapers from the poster, at 1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1024x768, and 800x600 respectively; bringing the total to 16 wallpapers in the pack itself. I've also included the poster-sized version for anyone interested in having the work in its original size.
About: I've been exploring many different styles over the past several months, from severe minimalism, to a very dirty grafitti, and onto a very victorian-esque pattern-laden influence. The poster is a combination of my old style, with some of my new styles that I've been experimenting with. Also, I've seen the movie "Hero" about thirty times now, and the oriental influence is very noticeable. Also, I've been fascinated by the Samurai ever since I read about them at a very young age, and this is my way of expressing that fascination.
Resources: Deviantart.com for all of the brushes used. Theinspirationgallery.com for the floral designs.
absolutely stunning! I like the various textures mixing in the foreground and background. I wish i had a multiple vertical monitor setup so i can use the whole poster.
agreed. amazing and spanktastic. i like that the aspect ratio is such that you can crop and edit to your liking but still keep the original image in tact for the most part. nice work.
dont know what to say man. great composition and form, just great work :) ud worked wonders with the stuff i sent man hehe, had almost forgot abt that :D
only one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have yet seen. I love the flava! the color, the culture... its an experience.... good coloring though really!.
gorgeous work. my only qualm is that it wouldnt make a great wallpaper because of the format of the work. composition is great. quality of work is exeptional. =P
nice composition, great detail. my only gripe about it is the R in the samurai ... it doesn't seem visually aligned with the rest of the words ... seems to be a little too far to the left. Its minor, but thats all I could find. great piece though
first.. i felt tricked. because i thought there has to be something in there. And then i saw the warrior version. Wow you two. After i saw the samurize the crosses werenīt as disturbing as before. I love how many things flew into this set. And i love the composition especially the two samurai. But hontestly.. i think the crosses donīt fit in. At all... respect. The samurai really makes this a great, great wallpaper. And hell yeah.. it would matter if you die my favourite picachu! Wait until i am 30.. i will invite you to my farm house and all the other great artists to stay here with in silence and no pressure to create. If you will die before i invite you .. that doesnīt exist :) i know you cannot buy a hug from that. but for me it would matter mister
I'd just like to say thanks for the comments, and for the support.
Flint: Check out the pack, there are a few wallpaper versions without the X's and text.
Wolzworth: Full view the thing, it's 1600x2400, should be plenty big :)
Tau: There's a wallpaper in the pack without those too :p
