the basic effect is smoothly done, but the photo overlay looks cheesy as does the white 2d in the corner.

It aint too bad, I'd like to see a version without the logo on the left side. Good job overall.

It isn't too bad. With out the logo it might look better. I don't see what wrong with the photo overlay at all.
