solid work Flintsilver. the modeling and render are very convincing and the color pack is a nice touch.

This is very nice from what i can see... its got a very nice look to it.. but i've seen way to many golden gate bridges for wallpapers very similar to this... you should go for something thats hasn't really been done and you'll have a hit

First off, it's nice to see you modelling more aggresively.
The scale of the piece is a little whacky. It looks small, like a table top architecttual model. I think it's the smoothness of the model and the girth of cables.
The scene is simply but well lit though. I think maybe some texture work would also give it a sense of hugeness that would make it work a little better. Some very fine bumpmapping would do.

the water looks better in this one, but the primitive looking caps on the top of the bridge stand out making it look like a model as colossus has said.

I don't think the bridge supports look too primitive. The reason is, this was designed as cross between the Golden Gate Bridge, the Humber Bridge (UK), and my imagination. Both of the bridges mentioned aren't particularly complex, so I don't see the supports as looking too primitive. In fact, the Humber Bridge actually does look like a model in most photos. I'm still working on updating the model and adding better textures.
