Artist's Note
Another minimal wallpaper. You've seen this style before: Walrus http://www.customize.org/details/21127, Eau? http://www.customize.org/details/20106 The robot is based on a tin wind-up toy robot. I created the mesh in Wings, textured in Photoshop, mapped with UV Mapper and rendered in Bryce.

I think what I like the most is the gradient in this! I don't know why, but its fantastic coloring. The robot is sweet as well too though.

Is it part of standard robot protocol that they all must stand in the same spot, and look the same direction?

From what i remember, the nice gradient is featured in the Glass wall rendering as well, which the artist did quite a while ago. The piece is excellent, the retro decals are authentic and the look and feel of the 50's tin robot comes through on the design. On ya.
Seeing this wall just spurred me to google some toy tin images, and look who i browsed into....http://www.neatstuff.net/space-robots/Li ttle-Lexin-wind-robot.jpg

Yup! That's the one ekzibit. I think after looking at that site, I may do a whole suite of robots. Robots are cool. Who cares if everyone does them?
