Not taking anything away from the image itself because its decent but this render can be easily done. In fact I did one just like it with the copy of terragen that I have and the render took a mere 4 minutes.
You have to bring more to the picture than just the default, so spruce it up a bit add "your own" stuff to it and dont just pop out a ready made image.

now this is how a rendered landscape should be *UPDATE*i dont care if a wall took 2 minutes or 2 weeks, appearance is what counts, and for a landscape wall, visually this one -doesn't suck-

Terragen and Bryce should be banished from the planet and never spoken of again. @ sykodelicphondl - because they all have the same look - head over to DeviantArt and browse the Wallpapers>Landscape section and you'll see nothing but Terragen images like this. There's no real artistry or skill involved in their production, just a bit of minor parameter configuration.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Repo is right. I use terr. and bryce, but usually as a component of a larger work. This has a clone look to it.

I have to agree that Terragen is quite easy to use at first, and can even help quickly make landscape backgrounds... However, all of my renders (Terragen included) go through several iterations before they are considered finished. Try not to dismiss everyone who uses this program as someone who has no talent... Just realize that some people do actually put in the effort.
