The background itself is pretty nice, but the text needs to go.

I agree with rkenshin. Minus the text and in a different color and this wouldn't be so bad.

I agree as well. But I think 60 is way to low for that. The background is still sweet. You can make the text stand out in better ways. Like make it brighter then the backbround..just and idea. Overall, its very good.
