Mmmh. The Mecha looks great. But you are right, the back looks kinda usual. Anytime you watch an anime this "starfield warp" is the back. I think about some rocks in motion just like sandstone. Would look like Mechwarrior or what. |edit| try a flight through a cannyon (spelled right?)

yeah, it needs something as a background, don't take away the "starfield warp", because is a classic in anime style, but it the Mecha needs to be placed in a scenario, keep it dark, becuase the black works great, and don't add to manny details

Don't know if you did the mecha yourself, but the background definitely needs something. Try moving the mecha towards the left half of the screen. Other than that its lookin pretty nice.

Mech is great if ya did it yourself.... other than that there isnt much to it... i think it could make a nice desktop..room for icons... could theme it... yea good job man... keep these coming!

Being a mech enthusist myself, This exactly the wallpaper i was looking for.
The background on the other hand is pretty much true to the design and personally i like it.

If you need to change it, try placing something like a wartorn city after a serious techwar, if you designed the mech like you said yourself then i gather you shouldn't have a problem placing it in a scene such as what i described. Overall fantastic work.

bg does need change, im just not sure what. mech is done real good, but doesnt look mean or menacing enough :D i'd love to see more robot renders on custo!
