Very detailed, yet "flat" enough to sit happy on the screen. Good work.

the colors are nice and all, but i don't like how it "breaks out" from the middle. 'cause the middle is real nice and it really is a nice wallpaper :)

I really don't like this. It's all the small things people put in their designs that are trendy. There is no real art or main picture to it. It looks really cluttered and mixed.

I'm thinking there's going to be a slew of themes coming very soon... mostly of not very good quality, as we've seen from the hybrid trio.

One question: Were you GOING for Wipeout 3? I dig Oakenfold's stuff, I could just never get in to the 65 minute song thing. :D

You know. I don't buy into the whole concept of 'trendy' as its perceived by the digital arts community. Certain styles become popular because they look bloody good and lots of people want to try that style. Trendy definitely isn't the word - 'popular' would be far more accurate. Do the manufacturers of vanilla flavoured ice cream stop because it's been the most popular flavour since ice cream was invented? Did Arthur Conan Doyle stop writing Sherlock Holmes stories because they became a massive and much-imitated hit? Did Picasso think - "ya know, this weird abstract look is way too trendy, I'm going to stop this now and make something l33t". Of course they bloody don't. There's way too much criticism of wallpapers because someone had the nerve to include an arrow or a bit of vector artwork or make a spikey abstract. If the wallpaper is good looking then who gives a flying fuck if the style's been tried before? ........ Anyway, sorry for invading your comments space with that rant Gearman - very nice wall there and nice taste in choons too.

Thanks for all the great comments, I never expected this to get featured after seeing that BMW piece :) Thanks for the support, and just some side info for litte moe and and compo: it was designed with the middle being the focus to give it a feeling of movement. The "cluttered and mixed" nature comes purely from the inspiration of Oakenfold's techno/trance style; it's definitely an acquired taste. Whether you like it or dont like it, I still appreciate the fact that you took the time to atleast comment on it :)
