I thought, from the smallest thumbnail, that this was an image like one of dstrukt's ( www.dstrukt.net ). Then when I saw the bigger thumbnail I thought it was like nearly as a cool. Then I looked at the full pic, and it's not that bad, just not really really cool. It needs more blur - hard to explain. Save the thing as a BMP, then in the BMP duplicate the layer, then Gaussian Blur, about 5+, then set the blurred layer's blending mode to Screen or Multiply, whichever suits best. It gives an awesome effect... Anyways it is good work! [UPDATE!] Nah I'm just saying the blurred/bitty bits made it look like a dstrukt piece (which is a GOOD thing). I didn't mean you copied it!

what part(s) make it look like a dstrukt piece? because I didn't try to make something similar. I just read a book about meteors and things. And in that I saw a picture of a meteor explosion (that's how I got the name too). I tried to do something like in the picture and this is the result. [update] okay, thanks...that cleared things up.
