linux is great, but if you dont want to take the time to learn it then its probably not for you. for all you guys into the neat, clean, simplistic desktops checkout the wm blackbox, its incredible.

i don't know, it looks nice, but its too big. icons are too big, etc. i think its a little to dark too, but thats just my opinion.
i give you bonus points for using linux, then i take them back for making fun of windows. then i gave you 3 of them back for having a transparent irc window.

I hate finding Linux drivers for all my hardware, even though I buy only name brand stuff. I'd install Linux for a server, but not as my desktop computer. XP handles that now.

I personally like the theme. Wow, that bg is old though. I remeber that froma few years ago when skinz, custo, and deskmod were all still up (hehehe). Well I personally like XP more than Linux- but Linux kicks ass on servers. To solve my problems on my PC i just dual-boot XP/Linux

if this would have been a windows desk i would have rated it 80.. but since its linux and most linux desks (including mine) look really shite.. (to be quite honest i run bash-only :P) i give it 100! very nice.. btw which wm is that?

wm means window manager. and for god's sake its not linuz its linux. jesus christ. the guys name who made it is "linus" but the operating system kernel is called "linux." damn...

mietje: most linux desktops aren't ugly.. it's just a matter of preference ;-) if you're just going for looks though i suggest getting windows XP (if you can live with having a total ripoff as operative..) xbradx: if you are looking for something REALLY clean, small, stable and yet VERY powerful i suggest you try pwm.. it utilizes dockable frames wich is very nice for those who keep loads of windows up all the time.. ;-) ()

Awsome, I love it... I run Slackware 8 on my desktop... Fluxbox... Linux Rules, windows 2000 isn't bad... like everything about it... and windows users who have issues with linux should shut up cause thier just to damn stupid to understand it and get it to run stable. PWM, ok but Fluxbox or Blackbox run really good also and have a little bit more eye candy... hehe Slackware ownz... but linux is linux... mandrake though, HAHA!

geez this is such a old s-shot of mine...i cannot believe how stupid it looks, man i am forever changing. this is just way to much CRAP for me. i don't care about any of this stuff. i mean i KNOW that nobody sits here and says "wow" good thing i have this monitor "app" that does this. blah blah blah. i have gkrellm running right now. (sysmeter is a gkrellm clone) and the only thing i use it for is the time, and the cpu usage meter...i KNOW for a fact that youguys don't use your stupid meters for stuff its just for looks and i'm not concerned about that. so F you all!
