I see what you mean now - the GTK engine chooses highlights etc. from the normal BG color (which is the pure white). This is problematic because the 255,250,244 color is a SLIGHT orange tint (which the engine will pick up and use for outline colors etc.) and everything else is pink / brown.

I just made it white to save myself the trouble. (And didn't think about it again until I realized what you were saying...)
