Wow... it's been a really long time since I've submitted a screenshot. Well, here goes:
I've been customizing my desktop for a long time (7 years I think) and I'm kind of losing my passion for it. :-\ This setup was more or less my take a at more permanent solution; something simple, easy on the eyes, and highly functional. I stumbled upon the XPM Classic visualstyle and I knew that this was the style to go with.

The LiteStep theme I used was created entirely by me, though I found inspiration/ideas for it when I saw this screenshot:
I pretty much took most of the ideas for it directly from that shot. The little buttons on the right bring up confirmation dialogs for the log off, restart, and shutdown. The buttons below the inbox notification and command box bring up popup menus with custom content.
p.s. I like thickbar themes. I don't care if you don't.
p.s.s. I recently reformatted my computer, and I haven't put any music back on it yet. Thats why you see my listening to Beethoven; it's windows xp sample music.
*******EDIT******* If anyone wants the LiteStep theme, send me a PM and I'll link it to you. I wont be releasing it here for a couple of reasons:
1. This theme is bare-bones, meaning there are no options, no color schemes, no settings. What you see is what you get. I like it set up the way it is, if you don't, tough.
2. I'd need to get permissions from b0se for using images from his visualstyle.
3. I'd need to get permissions from foodstamp, which even though I doubt he's going to release his version, It'd be kind of rude/wrong to release a theme that looks so similar to his. (Plus I don't think leaving him a PM on ls-themes.org is the best way to get in touch with him).
very, very nice. the taskbar has so many functions without looking bad... which impresses me, because i usually through a busy taskbar in the 'clutter' catagory. but this one is very smooth and clean.
good lord that's nice. And yeah that popup is soooooo very nice. I also agree with uac, very professional and advanced looking. Great, great work here all around. :)
