My take on the Nano suite by whistl3r/4imp crew. Loved the colors, the details, and everything else about the VS, so thought I'de take a stab at it from the BBLean side of things :)
It literally took weeks to put this one together, mostly due to how much I've been working lately... so I had to do it little by little, but I changed everything around this time, particulary the "details" of things.
Loads of little things going on here... glyphs here and there, captions changed locations and titles, mods were re-done, some new one's added, and not everything is as "blank" as it usually is this time :) I also, finally learned how to change the glyphs for window captions buttons in BBLean, and I'm loving that. If you compare to my previous screenshots, this one has much more detail. Yeah, it's still "boxed", but 98 and BBLean do not allow for much more shape then that :) So, in short, zoom in folks, lot's to see :)
The run down:
// Winamp: The original Nano skin by whistler... untouched, not modded... I hardly knew how to act when I realized I didn't have to re-color a WA skin :)
// ColorPad: Used the "Asamov" skin by VL and Max as a base, changed it up quite a bit.
// Rainlendar: Used the "Philly" skin by VL and split as a base here too, modded it heavily.
As always, everything is modded that can be, loads of detailed changes going on with most things, particularly with the standard explorer file manager, and IE 6. I even allowed some "icons" to be shown in my systray this time around, nothing more then glyphs obviously, but they work quite well, and don't distract from things. They represent Miranda, TinyResMeter x2, and my network adaptar, which turns white when my modem is in use.
Speaking of TinyResMeter, running two instances of it, both of which display different information, but look identical. It's the greatest little minimal meter I've ever used.
Well, I've typed enough... sorry about that as always, but thanks to everyone listed for the great inspiration. Hope you all enjoy :)
Damn... after all that... forgot to say/add, that the girl is "RetroDiva" from DeviantArt. Thought she fit quite well, so used stock photo's of her for the wall. Sorry bout that :) To shocks: Concerning the wall, I really, just had no idea of what to do on that, so I did what I did. I'm no wall maker at any level, so this is the result. I searched for the original "Nano" wall that everyone used before, though couldn't find it :( So, had to default to this. It fits I think, could be better of course, but did what I could. Thanks to all who've commented though, regardless of the comments nature, it's always appreciated :) Ok, I've got the picture now on the WA font, and I never knew that option existed kumquat, though didn't think it was that big of a deal, but then again, now that I know the option exist, it is a big deal! :) Thanks again to all who've commented, I really do thank you greatly. Take care everyone until next time :)
OMG icons!!! ;p You know I love your stuff, so not much new to say. The only thing that stands out as looking odd, is the track information font in the main WA window. As always, keep up the good work.
I'm really getting tired of Nano and its offshoots, but this is simply fabulous. Other than the Winamp scroller font, I love it. Top-notch work, as always.
Sweet. It's not all black, and not super-high-contrast, but manages to look like a totally different OS...and I'm not generally a fan of graphical goodness.
