Playing a bit with Active Desktop for the moment...
infos : --
Wallpaper is created from a drawing found at http://www.ronssketchpad.com/, gray gradient at the bottom adds a small nice effect to the taskbar. Color scheme is "mahjong", simple black/gray/white. Using Tclock2 as usual to mod the taskbar. No more start button, but two instances of ShortPopUp, from http://www.digitallis.co.uk/ Icons are my new "mahjong" set, still in progress. I still have to replace many icons but haven't much time to do it. Using the black and white set to add more contrast. Direct links to executables on the left side (made possible with the use of Run:Protocol handler) with a mouseover effect, and a javascript menu on top right ("go to" expands on click to show quick internet links...). On top of the clock, two icon-images to quickly reboot and shutdown. Madonote is used to hide the systray icons. Marlett is the brand new "Squared" one, made to match my icon set. Available at http://tweakfiles.modzine.net/. The font overall is Homespun BRK, from http://www.dafont.com/. No real deep hack on this place, for once ;-), so it's still far from complete...
good custo goin on here, looks like you took some time to get this together. also, nice designer notes. the only thing i can say is perhaps a more suiting mozilla skin? hope to see more submissions from you in the future.
Very nice submission. I was wondering if you'd be able to send me the file you used for the wallpaper (for my own personal desktop use only). Thanks for your help and keep submitting quality pieces like this one.
personally, i'm sick of these white/grey schemes popping up everywhere. a little color never hurt anybody. but this al matches well, and i'm feelin that gradient at the bottom. something i havent seen too much. i agree with ere.mite on the mozilla skin. those netscapish icons have to go. otherwise, real nice work. oh, not sure how this is japanese design, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
great desk,i'm truely interested in you're active desktop files. Can you send me the files or can you redirect me to a tut on the subject? Again, great desk...***
