Dont worry Jovi, its a rough crowd here at custo. My two and only posts were were saturated by reviews like "Ugly" and, "Hideous" (but thats ok because they were only Kazaa skins, lol), but im learning too. A couple of tips:
- Look at other posts for a while and get to know what's considered good and whats not, then be original.
- Credit people in the designer notes when you use thier stuff (we know whos wall you used here, but its still good to do.
I look forward to seeing your next post. :-)

some of the rash comments are negative reinforcement. work harder and try again. of course if you like it the way it is, then keep it that way. Don't go changing everthing just because other people think it looks like ass, just do it for yourself. **50cent: the japanese use kanji as well as Hiragana and Katakana... **Seraph: thanks for the info. I knew about the kana junk, but not about the simplified characters

MaddDadd, Senextheorem, and Karah Issaan all have good things to say. Nothing to be sorry about; better you posted then didn't. man you guys were pretty hard on this guy.. its kinda obvious that he's from japan.. go surf some japanese sites and you'll find that this kind of work is the "in thing" or a "norm" they dont have the urge to go that far in customizing as we do...

nice work on the girlfriend, but here at custo, our expectations are a bit high when it comes to screenshots because there are some incredible ones here in the archive. try to make things match more, and use similar colors to produce said matching effect. for a first, it has a lot more customization than a lot of people's here. don't get discouraged, try again.

Senex (LOL@sykodeli, "he's obviously japanese"..LOL), ill tell you why i know this is a chinese/taiwanese user.

even though the japanese DO use kanji, it's much a simpler form of it and some of the characters are HALF of the chinese originals

#2. the japanese use the hiragana character for words/things that are japanese 'things', while katakana is used for all 'foreign' things, words like 'ice cream' would be spelled out, 'ai-su-ku-ri-mu' etc.

#3, this whole screenshot is in kanji, not a hint of hiragana or katakana ANYWHERE, even in a heavily japanese publication, you will see SOME of the kana sets being used...

especially on an operating systems for words that do not quite translate, you should see the kana for things like 'start', would be like 'stahto' (not that it's in there or anything)
