Okay. Ugly - just usual default stuffs you've seen everywhere. This cramped look is also resized to 1600x1200 from an original 1920x1440 shot. So it's blurry in someplaces.

Here's the real reason I dare to post this ugly shot here: I still can't find a suitable icon set ever since I have XP. This is currently what's on. It kinda sux, but I'm considering making a move to the "mono-tones" , a entry in pixelpalooza 2003, shown here. It really is a life's big question. What you gals think?

	report shocks says: pikagrrr. how is that alot of work. all he has is theme's. unless he made the theme, made the winamp, made those icons made that wall. then it would be alot of work, anyway, not much customized really , but does look nice. :) UPDATE FOR MY FRIEND PETE. what i mean by that is stuff like html, right click menu, maybe adding a calender, running toys, things that make your desk not look like windows. cuz all thats been going on here on custo for the past 3 months is matching matching matching. matching is just a click away. every screen that is submitted looks the same as other screens submitted 2,3,or 4 days ago. nothing new, it's getting really boring. and it's becoming really dumb, screens getting rated 95 and up for what, for downloading a Style Xp theme. And isn't that what the custo screens section was put up for. to see some new customizing. i'm not expecting everyone to be perfect at it but, try new things, not just style xp. 	report naturalmeth says: wow, very nice, everything matches, like how everything is layed out, Ayumi Hamasaki is just freakin gorgeous. ::PeteCee:: im kind of wondering the same thing myself about shocks' idea of customizing, i mean, from his post it seems as if you have to make everything yourself for it to be customized, if you customize your car, you don't make your own wheels, your own body kit, your own eurotails, tires, interior. 99.9% of the time you're gonna use something that somebody else has made. the end product is customization. the same rule somewhat would apply to your desktop, while it's more common to see people make thier own skins than it is to make thier own wheels, using someone elses products to make your desktop look a certain way IS customization. not starting an arguement either, just backing up PeteCee's statement and adding a little more insight into the subject. =) Fri, Feb 28th at 06:48pm (5 years ago)

	report LTD says: Pretty good screenie you haev there. I know alot of people like this, and it does appeal to me, the icons near the bottom must go. They are, IMHO, simply too large quite garish in comparison to the overall theme. Everything else pretty much matches, though. But hey, YA MADE FEATURED !!!!! Congrats!!!!! 	report Knuff says: What bugs me is that this shot could have been even more. The middle "cluster" (psp8, wa2, wa3, wall, "root" in explorer, logo) should be focused on much more. With the elimination of Microangelo, Mozilla, and Opera (or possible altered placement), and different positioning of the icons, the screen could have been a lot more artistically pleasing. Possible placement for icons is probably below the winamp2. Also, consider another element about 500 pixels wide by 200 pixels high going from the right side of the logo to approx. halfway accross the wall. 	report jujube says: Thanks for all the kind words. I have wa3 just to test out some of the better skins when they appear, but I rearly use it. Like wmp, wa3 muddles the sounds, make quite a number of background sounds or layers of vocals and beats unhearable. wa2 is just better. Better skins too. The icons used is a monochrome version I did for myself out of the "pcmag_red" set. The other set partially shown is an entry to PP'03. You can look for it on IconFactory. WP is from ayudesign titled "a-side", I guess, but the site is gone. It's a 1024x768 pic that I just centered. It looks much better this way when running on a high resoultion. Its author goes by the name of Metal Markara, one of the few artists able to do nice ayu wallpapers consistently. Many Ayu sites has his/her works and may have the email address but never a site of the author. Sorry. I will not send it off here or anywhere else as I'm a stauch believer in tight distribution rights. I forgot to show the ayu logo (those that know know what I'm talking about) throbber (ayumi.primenova.com) in IE (I took the shell windows' one off). It goes very well with the edited shell32.dll (light) I DL from http://www.aleni.shellscape.org before it went down. To whoever mention "simple explorer", I don't really understand what you're mentioning. But if you're talking about the window, showing the "leafboy logo" illustration I did, I'm just playing with the view options in irfanview where it let you take off each of the "bars". Many Ayu sites has gone poof lately, even my favorite, Dream_of_Ayu. But Hey!!! I still have have my question answear. Oh well such is life. Thanks again.
