Not bad for a first, although the figure in the bottom left contrasts a little too much with the rest of the desktop: that is, you have a relatively bright, multicolored item, surrounded by very few colours and muted tones . . . this presents a matching problem. Granted, the skirt/sash on the girl does go with the first couple of icons on your dock, this does not seem enough. The Winamp colour does not belong, either.
Good to see you're making use of a dock, though. Otherwise, this a very good first submission. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff.

pretty slick... take ltd's advice.. thats about what i was gonna say too.. the icons are a must change though... everything else is nice work.. keep going in the direction.. you be off to a good start

LTD: That's Yuna from FFX. Not just any girl. I'd say its ok since its a character like that, more of a theme rather than just some random girl placed on the Dtop
