Artist's Note

i saw this background and loved it, so i started designing a xp theme around it. i am not happy the way the windows turned out, so i am not featuring them in the ss. i am really going for a minimalistic feel hear, making the taskbar look transparent. this is the first time i have attempted skinning windows xp, since i usually use linux. i am looking for sugestions on it.

Ok at first glance, this kinda looks like a wall and not a screenie. Alot more needs to be shown. You should show people how well you skinned/coloured/modified certain apps to match your theme such as Winamp etc. I know you arent happy with your windows but it really does help to have one or 2 open to let people see what you've done to the likes of your icons etc and how well you can colour match. Keep at it, very nice wallpaper.

the task bar isnt really transparent. i took stylebuilder and modified a theme. for the taskbar, i used the bottom 30 pixels of the wall paper, which is available from deviant art.
