Artist's Note

Here's my newest desktop configuration. This time I really wanted to try something new. First of all, I got myself a Charcoal OSX styleXP theme. Next I changed most of my icons to Aqua icons to match (most from www.aqua-soft.org). Added an extra toolbar to the top of the desktop. Then I started on the wallpaper. At first I had just the Torus and the Sphere I had modeled in Bryce arranged pretty much just as you see them now on the same white BG. I had been thinking of making a wallpaper that'd actually do something for a little while, so I figured this'd be a good start for it. I cut out the individual parts in PS, and imported em into Flash, made all the rollovers and file links, imported that Flash movie into dreamweaver, saved it as an HTML file, then pointed my active desktop to that file, and voila; interactive desktop. The Torus, the sphere, and each of the circles, upon mouse rollover prompt you with their title, and upon clicking, do what their title says (be it bring up IE, or go to a certain folder on the HD). You can check out the effect at http://geocities.com/victorcormier/desktop.htm -or- http://geocities.com/victorcormier/desktop.swf . I personally enjoyed trying to make something just a little bit different. Anyways, after the long rant: It's 1600x1200.
