Nice try for your first litestep theme. It's a bit bland though. I love the font choice but I think the size makes the pop up menu look a bit bulky.

desktop2-2.0.1 has two entries, xlabel-3.3 is loaded and not used, and you need mzscript for your !varset bangs to work (since you're !recycling, you could just use xtextedit if you wanted, instead). The system tray doesn't really match the popup. You should update your xpopup module - 1.1.1 has a bug with it not closing properly when it loses focus, in certain situations. Lastly, you need to add in xPopupAutoMenuBreak for your popup to expand with menus that are taller than your vertical resolution (you may want to adjust your maxwidth for that, too). With that said, your popup looks great. Nice and smooth. You have good taste in graphics. Hopefully you will be expanding on this. - Btw, this being litestep has nothing to do with whether there should be a taskbar or not. That's just a matter of preference. D4RKFANTASY Forget lsbox. Learn xlabel (3.4.1). fractal (updated - misread the first time - need more sleep) xPopup didn't exist when Omar's installer came out (it came about 8 months later), so it's not part of the personal.rc, and themers can include xPopupAutoMenuBreak with the rest of their xpopup definitions. Users can add it to their personal.rc, if they want. If xPopupAutoMenuBreak isn't included, you can mousewheel to the next part, but it's a pain to do.

i don't get it ... thats it? a desktop, popup and systray rollover module ... your first litestep theme. no messing around with labels, no clock, no calandar, nothing. K.I.S.S. pushed to the very extremes, i'd say way over the edge but i'm pretty dramatic. You've got graphical skill no doubt dark (teach us how to alpha map), but wheres the design, wheres the function, wheres the usability? you want people to use this, it frankly does nothing ... nothing that counts towards anything anyway. give us a shot at your second theme, there's no rush, you're learning and for that we're all proud you're joining us.

I really love the design! It's awesome! The only thing I think it's missing is the clock, but that's a simple thing to add. I'm using it right now actually..

qwertz is saying he his proud because you submitted to custo, but only pointing out that the theme is missing some handy functions. Don't take it too personal, learn from his and xcal his advice when creating (hopefully) your 2nd litestep theme. note: my next screenshot will be using this theme ;)

people appreciate the effort...and this is a decent effort. hallowed may be right, but litestep.net was full of amateurs who would welcome a kick to the ass.

ok, First off, nice first submission, for your first theme the graphics are top notch, It's a great first step. When you get a handle on the boxes, etc, add yourself a clock, a systray a couple of functional modules and you'll be well on your way.

Welcome to LS, I'm sure you'd have recievd a proper welcome had litestep.net been up and running, but for now just know that your submissions to the community are always welcome, and that the customize.org community is far too jaded for it's own good, and that if Custo can't welcome you, Litestep does.

Don't submit anything if you can't take criticism. Making submissions just to get your ego stroked doesn't fly well here.
