It is a very nice skin. If people want to believe that it is a rip then FUCK THEM! I think it is a very clean skin with beautiful rounded face effect. Good use of transparency. The weird yellow colour is a bit weird other than that it is a great skin. It seams to be a skin that you either love or loath. I love it.

Question: why is the skin called "Heavy Metal" ( I dont see much relevance to Heavy Metal as in the music) anyway The skin rocks , apart from the name. Keep up the good work Koozna

I would give it a score of 80-90... but i wanted to try to balance out all the people before who gave it low scores and called it a "rip" of Zorg. It isn't. I't less rounded, has lighter colors, and is different. It IS gray, and it has transparencies in the same places, but so do 50 other skins (most likely, at least)... so what's the big deal? It shows influence, but so does everything else here.

Marks deducted for similarities, but then again, with winamp skins being the oldest (and most restrictive) skin format, your bound to run into similarities...even if they're heavily based on something...and anyone if you open Zorg and then open this in Winamp you'll notice that they are quite different...

IMHO, the best skin Koozna's done so far. Very nice. I don't mind the transparency--nothing too fancy, breaks up the monotony of perfectly square borders. The buttons are a little hard to make out, but that's not much of a greivance. There was obviously some inspiration here from Zorg, but what's wrong with that? ALL artists use some form of "stealing." They all admit it, they just usually use the more polite term of "influence." So Heavy Metal is influenced by Zorg. Big deal. I think it's better than Zorg; that skin seems a little "faded" to me. Plus, the equalizers aren't really all that similar. Heavy Metal has that esoteric "professional" quality I like so much, and it's why I've enjoyed all of Koozna's work thus far.

I am crazy about this. Dammit. Basically these technokiddies will scream "RIP" if a design contains any sort of transparency, or reminds them of any skin, or its bg color is within 10 HUE points of one they like. Dumbshits. There are a whole lot of phucking innovations about this skin but all everyone is worried about is their own smart asses.

Well, when you first look at it, it reminds you of XX skins, and I'm not saying it's original, but what exactly is originality based on these days? The skin background is different and you can hardly invent a new type of buttons, or a new shape(for Winamp no way). So I really think that originality can't be ranked so harshly these days!

Plenty of misery's ideas here. Zorgish and themes from Crystal Bastard at the same time. I don't like Zorg too much, and I don't like this one too much either.

I'm looking at Zorg, and the only thing similar is the font. The sliders look a lot like those in Crystal Bastard though.

Doing a great job with the skins. I like all 3 that you just finished. I only have one bitch about this one though. It's original, yet it's unoriginal. I can tell all the graphics are yours and it's created from scratch, and very well done. But I take points off for lack of originaliry\imagination. What you did is you made your own version of Zorg.

This absolutely is NOT a rip. The colors are very much like Zorg, yes, but it's obvious to me that this is an original design. Nice work Koonza, you're making a name for yourself with these excellent skins. (Update) Seifer - I agree that there are some striking similarities between the two, I had Zorg up beside this screenshot to check, but this is all original in the sense that it wasn't bits taken from Zorg and used. I guess there are different types of "rips" and this might be a "conceptual" rip. I like it nonetheless. *steps down from soapbox*

Does look a lil like Zorg. But like what Chill said. The transparencey thingy screwed you over. Its still a rrather decent skin. Just get rid of the trans. And try adding some black maybe. :-) Black is good. Darkness is good. I want to see some more dark skins. There all bright and colorfull lookin now. Im runnin a dark desktop and i want sumthin dark to run with it.

pretty good.... I use my WinAmp mostly for Heavy Metal so I like items that are related to it, a pitty it's does not match my bg color.... nice work Koozna
