that's pretty neat. not too gimmicky as a "theme skin" and it strikes a chord in my brain that says "bloop bleep bip bop".

Why the hell not? Plus I like the fact that one of the fellows on DeviantArt mentioned a visual style. I'd probably look for one of those too, even if I had to make it myself.
