I'm 13 years old and I want to get into to digital photography and photo manipulation. Does anybody know of a well priced, small, good quality digital camera that I would be able to afford (under $300). Also, I only need it to have about 4 megapixels resolution on it. And, is GIMP 2 a good, free alternative to Adobe Photoshop and does it mirror the functionalities well?
holy moley, he's using blasphemous words like free and good around gimp vs. photoshop, thats devil-talk you hear. um, you shouldn't have any problem finding a small, good quality camera for under $300us, i mean i got my kodac p.o.s. for $200au and it does exactly what i want ... take pictures ... oh yeah, above all you'll want manual control over the shot.
I have Pentax Optio S5i (5 megapixels). At its price I would say it's the best camera out there. It has excellent quality using the point and click settings, but if you want to get more advanced it has many user adjustable settings that give you much finer control over your photograpy.
I have a Kodak CX7430 4.0 mega pixels... it works for me. But then again, I dont really know much about cameras and photography. ____________________________ Customize.org Staff : Submissions
