The team is still the same. Ricardo, Cara and me. The new portofolio is now online. We worked on it for more than three months. Please tell us what you think about it!
site loks cool but whe i click on a button to go to a part of the sit i getno object selectd please chosse from drop down menu and then i cannot see the menu- is just the shell up atm?
Looks nice guys. I originally loaded it on my Safari browser on my Mac and there were a few bugs on the homepage. Also, some of the previews in the Exhibition section seem to suffer from high compression. Finally the gap between the Title and preview images in the Exhibition section seems really big and threw me off a bit. Really, I'm just nitpicking - I could go on for hours on the good things. The layout is top notch especially the Structure section. Congratulations on a job well done and the strict w3c validation :)
I love it but i have got also a few bugs, when i'm in "exhibition" i get back to the main page. Can't figure out why, tested it already in firefox and ie same problems... Hope this will be fixed soon :)
i like the site. it has a professional yet edgy look to it that makes me think "hey, these cats are hip to a jive upon which i would like to get the skinny."
Where do you guys get the sort of textures used in the right bg? I saw some of those textures in giraffes site too, I love it but I want some in wallpaper format, any idea where to get them?
noticed that the 'new series' wallpaper link isn't working though, that one is a real beauty, was hoping you'd release that ever since Imrik's SOIL screenshot
woh, big difference ... whether its for the better i'm not sure. big no, no: uploading your site when its incomplete with dead urls is very noobish (refer to later spec.). here's my analysis.
pro's: optimised for 56k. more effective implimentation of site structuring. passive use of visuals and theming. simplified access to site content.
con's: pink, emo/baby girl pink on front page (anything colour in the spectrum a bit more passive would be appreciated for lcd users). navigation bar, give it a bit more thought. waste of screen space on the right, esp. on smaller res monitors (1024x768 looks way out of place). the urls to individual sub-domains from the structure page are dead, fix it, even a "under construction" or default page is better than a 404.
overall: its a great time to make and see some changes, your crew is sweet and looks to be even more promising further down the track. get your site aiming and running at 110% as it is not only the front-door to free design projects but big commercial impressions once your name gets out there, yeah 4imp!
Thank you very much. All of you who gave us feedback!
Thank you for the contras qwertz. Don´t be ashamed to tell something constructive. Pointing out the problem with lcd monitors is very good. The previous version still had problems with links in the download section and the structure page.
The subdomains will be avaliable during the next month. This is no excuse, but the website took us more than 3 months to finish. Every graphic, pattern, written code is done by three people. New content will follow very soon. I am writing an article about how to apply visual styles, icons and skin for windows xp. Also two new suites, a collab with sc3l from deviantart and two new wallpaper packages.
I am happy to see it seems to be easier to understand the exhibition, is it? Please tell us with what you have problems... and i mean that seriously! Please tell me all the problems even if you think you are new to the internet. It should be easy to understand and navigate.
And i am very proud to get such a great feedback from this community! It has been really silent around here for the last weeks. Please spread the word for the sake of desktop customizing and free strawberry yoghurt!
With that exhibition drop menu, why don't you try dimming the the word when the rest of the menu appears? That, or maybe fade the exhibition text somehow.
Since you're using css, you should be able to do something with it to indicate that it's not an option when the menu appears. Just a thought. It looks neat how it is though.
Yeah... I don't care what the other people say, the site is awesome. Don't pay attention to em. It has the distinctive 4imp flavor/style. I love it. It makes me feel good just looking at it. The entire site looks awesome. Could use a little work maaaaaaaaaaaybe, but that's if you are thinking of making it practically the best site on earth. This already kicks ass. I hug you all for making my day...
