ObjectBar questions

Avatar-50x50

So I installed ObjectBar today in an attempt to be a trend-whore and do a little mac-esque emulation (not completely, I'm not a total sellout). So, I have a few questions related to it. Question number 2 is the big one.

1: How do I get a visual style to be applied to the bar at the top? Or, do I have to make a skin for that to work?

2: What I'd really like to do is make a finder bar that acts like the actual finder bar. For example, if I'm using firefox, I want the File/Edit/View menus to be on the finder bar INSTEAD of the window. Same with every other app. Can OB do this, and if not, is there a hack that does?

3: slightly unrelated, but when OB is installed, my system tray in Litestep essentially disappears no matter what theme I use. Any ideas on this?

Sorry for the noob-ish questions, but I'm having trouble finding info on this. My basic goal is to be able to use a finder-style bar that can have my visual style applied to it so it matches.

1. You'll need to find ObjectBar themes to skin ObjectBar.

2. There are dozens of those types of themes available, but you'll need ObjectBar Enhanced to strip the menus out of windows.

3. Try using a different systray module. Then again, if you're using ObjectBar to emulate a Mac, your systray will be part of the bar.

Since when did we refer all questions regarding StarDock products to StarDock?

1. We as in who?

2. since he's looking for best information on getting his problem fixed and they've paid thier own technicians to support the products they make.

Would you ask detailed technical questions here about your monitor or would you try to call the manufacturer?

Valid point, but Stardock tech support sucks. I've had experiences before with them related to Icon Packager (aka SATAN).

Ok we're not here to bash the company just to point people who have problems with their software in the right direction.

I wasn't bashing the company, I was explaining why I came here first.

Alright, so I'm going to get OB Enhanced. Can anyone point me to some of the themes that do what I want (put the file/edit/view menus on the finder bar)? I've looked around but I can't tell which ones do that and which ones just have static menus.

2) I guess there is a special way to enhace the Win Taskbar with HTML menus, you need to have the right explorer configuration on the HTML file (java script?) in the right carpet, i dont know much bout "programming" those kind of things. I was looking for some help with that too, cuz i dont use OB. With WB, is enough from stardock...
