It seems like everyone likes at least 1 RHCP song. My favorites are Around The World, Aeroplane, Throw Away Your Television, I Like Dirt, and By The Way.
Breaking the Girl Higher Ground Under the Bridge By the Way Can't Stop Dosed Around The World Otherside Parallel Universe Road Trippin Scar Tissue Californication My friend Soul To Squeeze Aeroplane Roller Coaster But my most favorite Chili Peppers song is Venice Queen. If you haven't guessed it already the Chili Peppers are my all time most favorite band in the whole entire wide world!!!!! Anthony Kiedis is one of the most sexyest men alive. Ugh I love that band.
Venice Queen or Under The Bridge, goes down as my favourite tracks. the band is so appealing because of either two things : its so random it starts to make sense, or the music videos are so fucking halarious it doesn't matter.
I'm more of an Incubus gal, but i do also think that RHCP is one of the best bands out there :) Esp considering how the current music scene is slowly deteriorating, i'm not feelin the newer acts in the industry as much as i used to anymore...
I hope at least half of you are being sarcastic. They completely suck. Maybe after you reach your thirteenth birthday you'll realize how overrated this band is. Holy shit, try not watching MTV for a while; your taste in music will increase huge.
Umm... There's a reason why they've been around forever. There's a reason why thay have multi-platinum albums. There's a reason why they win Grammys . There's a reason why this thread was started in the first place. Overrated?! Not quite. But thanx for telling us your opnion ;)
priceed, as long as you're not an emo i'll respect your opinion, else we'll be sending the next available custo mob to your place and shooting your front windows out with my smick air cannon!
priceed, i dont watch mtv, rhpc just got that sound that makes you like atleast one of their songs. and then again you cant argue whats good or bad music. imo all bands that are renewing and stays around for a while like rhcp, iron maiden and metallica deservs respect. theyre not like 50cent/britney/a-teens who drops 2-3 albums and then retires.
____ Im not suffering from schizofrenia, We're OK now
i've never been a huge fan, though wynton is right - almost everyone likes at least one of their songs. i liked one of the newer singles... cant remember what it was called... the one that ends "this life is more than just a read-through."
aero must have woke up on the wrong side of the keyboard this morning ;)
hey guys..gotta be sure everyone here knows that we can make the chili peppers get awards for their awesome music this year..the vmas are letting fans vote for some of the awards and 3 of them have rhcp as a choice to vote for. I think they're up for like 7 vmas this year!
we gotta vote for vid of the year, best group vid, and best rock vid.!! you can vote as much as you want and should probly do it alot alot to make them win!!!
Nah, some of this stuff is actually funny to read, as well as insight to the growth and history of customize.org. You will see how long a lot of cool people here hung around.
Just change the 2 to anything under 10000 or something.
I've never seen the mars volta live, but from what I've heard from friends they're usually good. I paid $60 to see RHCP and them this coming november, so It better be good.
And for the record, Californication is one of the best albums ever
I suppose we could renew this thread every time they release an album.
I'm a bass player, so Flea gives me pretty much an endless supply of crazy material to mess with. My favorite is probably Mellowship Slinky in B Major, but Pretty Little Ditty is great, too, and "If" from the new album also has a cool bass part. I've performed Under the Bridge, and let me tell you - playing Flea's bass parts while singing Anthony's lyrics is pretty tough. I performed PLD too (which, thankfully, is instrumental), and that went very well, although much of the crowd thought it was "Butterfly" by Crazy Town. ___________________ Scourge of the Muffins
The Mars Volta is definitly an awesome band. I saw them open for A Perfect Circle a few years ago. It was quite amazing. I went mostly for them, but they kinda sucked. Maybe it was cuz the show before they got bottles of piss thrown on them. Pretty lame of whomever did it.
i'm probably dating myself here, but back in the 80s when i was a skater punk, rhcp was huge in my crowd... i've always thought "higher ground" was the best song by them... unfortunately, i was not impressed with the current album.. but i do think anthony is a great lead singer, and flea is top 5 bass players of all time... anyone see anthony in point break... that was great too... LOL
Well I think the best two RHCP songs are My Friends and that one song played in wayne's world that you can't find in any of their albums. By the way, WillyT, you are not crazy, my brother came to me the other day and was like, "hey, that drummer from rhcp acts in several movies doesn't he?" And I had to google it to prove him wrong cause he just woudn't belive me they where two diferent people.
i am going to buy red hot chili peppers tickets for paris this summer. i did not join the fanclub early enough to get tickets through them but i have found this website... www.londonticketshop.co.uk/buy/red-hot-chili-peppers-tickets .htm and they are fairly reasonably priced... the standing tickets are only £45 and lets face it who wants to be sitting at a chili peppers gig!! So I am going to take the plunge and buy the tickets now after all the face value of the tickets for london when the rest of their european tour is announced will probably be as expensive!
I am so excited!!! I cannot wait to see the red hot chili peppers in concert again!!
my rhcp playlist: by the way cant stop venice queen around the world parallel universe scar tissue otherside californication this velvet glove dani california snow (hey oh) charlie stadium arcadium (my ringtone) slow cheetah torture me c'mon girl desecration smile hard to concentrate 21st century so much i we believe death of a martian
i kinda got overexposed to the peppers...kiedis went to the HS i graduated from in MI, and still has alot of family around the area.
i'd have to say 'under the bridge' is one of my favorites, and bloodsugarsexmagik as their best album. however, i dont think theyd even be in my top 40 as far as personal favorites.
