I think it would be good if you got rid of the scary sharp tentacles, and made it look more like an old school blimp.

looks good.. but try changing the background. You've used that same background color scheme for sometime now in most of your works.

Background's only there at the moment because the materials show better on a light background.

Those things remind me of the robo-bombs that the, er, "giant robot squids" throw at ships in the Matrix.

Thus, something is telling me that this wall needs a nice, dark background.

For some reason, I want to see four tentacles on those things instead of three. It just seems weird without that fourth one. Your wall, though, Flint.

Fourth tentacle, and I tried to make it slightly more sentient with the small lights.

What's the propeller for? Maybe you want to start thinking what this thing does and in what environment it operates in, that should give you more clues about the "thing".

The material looks very 3d-ish, I think the lighting has to do with it. Since you didn't even apply shadows I wonder if this comment comes to early and you are just talking about the model.

I'm expecting there will be some shadowing as I'll need to put the rest of the environment in (to receive the shadows) and a light source to make the model cast one.

Not really sure what the propeller does, but I do have it envisioned as some sort of flying object.

Major improvement, Flint. (And not just with that extra tentacle.) It looks more "agressive" now.
