At the moment here in Woking, UK, there is a band from an evangelical church playing in the town centre.
Why is this music always so bad?
It's sappy, it has no musical inovation or lyrical inventiveness and is completely devoid of emotion. Surely there are famous well respected songwriters that are Christian. Why don't they write some good devotional songs.
It's it's when you look to other cultures and listen to things like Pakistani Qawal or Muslim calls to prayer that you can feel any emotion or devotion.
Anyone looking in from outside Christianity would assume that Christians have no passion for their faith or respect for their God.
it all depends on what denomination it is. Lutheran is very strict on how they worship, only traditional hymns and no clapping, ect. now Pentacostal is a diff story; we rejoice in all ways: singing, dancing, clapping, ect. and the music widly varies on what church it is.
" now Pentacostal is a diff story; we rejoice in all ways: singing, dancing, clapping, ect"
We? This is obviously biased. Every denomination in christianity thinks the other is wrong.
The christian music industry is a horrible one. You put on a jesus radio station 6 years ago, and you put the same one on today, and you'll hear the same tunes. Lack of creativity.
You can only make so many songs about how christian god is so wonderful.
