How do i customize everything? From the Window boxes, icons, Msn Messenger... Tool bars... I know i probably am the first person to ask, but I cannot find anywhere on how to do this on your website. If maybe there was an archived tutorial or something, that would be very helpful. THanks a lot. Btw Syeren, and KULTDESIGN are the backgrounds i have currently. THey are soo sweet
sorry, my best advice is to take things one at a time, find out want you want to do specifically, then ask someone how to do it. dont be so general, or people will be mean to you here.

oh thats easy to answer tho, you can stroke the engine, add air intake, intercoolers, nitrous, weight reduction, supercharger. im afraid thats not a great analogy cause i just answered that. WOuld you like me to type how it would be done? basically what i am asking?
thats the point split i have no idea u need a a program. all i know is that a friend of mine has a customized desktop and it looks nice. i asked how do i make my desktop look better. Ok fine. WHree do i dl skins, and once i have dled it what do i do to get it on ym computer? THere can u understand that?

If they have made the effort to solve the problem and THEN seek my help, i dont mind. However when they seek my assistance with no intent on paying me prior to solving it themselves, i get pissed.

What the FUCK is going on around here? Chill people, drutherford: We can help you, first by saying customizing a desktop isnt as easy as downloading a skin and pressing "apply" button, some programs support that, some don't. I reccomend you look around, check out skins for some programs, check out wint's site too(wint.virtualplastic.net) that site explains how to hack certain stuff on your desktop which programs dont do, and certain people just need to change it.
Second, do you plan to match stuff on your desktop or can it look nice without matching stuff? Thats your opinion, its your desktop so you decide. If matching is what you want, then you might start off by searching for skin suites, a skin suite includes several skins for several programs.
After youve done the searching, take a trip to our irc channel, some people there can help you on using what youve chosen.

drutherford - if you have any more questions, try stopping by the irc channel (there's a link at the bottom of the forums box), or feel free to ask again in the forums. just remember that asking about a specific application or skin will help - as well as perhaps having some information (such as what operating system you are running or what shell you are trying to use).
