Did you go into the BIOS and set the cd-rom as the first boot device?

Are you using an IBM OEM ver of XP or retail or is it something....else?

Is this a used machine, maybe you got a clunker.

whats a clunker?
i can find the satting that make cd-rom first boot device. i looked for it but i cant find it.
bios is strage.never seen something like this before

Just make sure the cdrom is the first boot device, cruise around in the BIOS until you you see "boot device order" or something similar, should be under that.

found and check cd-rom first boot device. thx
now im formating the scsi hdd. please wait, depending on youre disk capacity, format could take several hours.

error code 7 setupdd.sys on xp
on win 98 : pci bus scan complete, and than...nothing.
whats the problem?
