Installing skins

Hi all!
I'm new here and don't know too much about customization apart from the fact that it's a really cool way to replace the stuff microsoft has done which can become quite boring at times.
I have downloaded a few stylexp skins but don't know how to install them. I tried through the Appearances menu but to no avail.
Any help is really appreciated

u can see xp thems without installing style xp
just go to google and search for xp themes or
style xp .
there u can find many site,s that can help to findout
