Is this an art site? Or a customization site? I know this has been hashed out before, but everytime I come here I can't fucking figure it out. The art-site-not-an-art-site attitude of this place is really fuckin confusing when I thought the real question was "does this shit look good on my desktop or not".
Just say it. One way or the other, or both?

This is a customization site. But the simple fact is that we use art in order to achieve that 'customization'; the two are not on opposite ends of some idealogical spectrum. When you get right down to it, it doesn't fucking matter what you call it, it's all the pursuit of beauty.
Coestar, you seem kind of upset about things around here generally. Mail me with your concerns and we'll talk. Really. I want you to continue to post on this site.
I'm not all that angry. I really just wanted to know. If anyone takes it as a personal insult, I'm sorry, I get a little passionate about things at times.
