Icon text - right side
|
How can I have the text that is normally underneath desktop icons to be on the right side? I recall that there is a way to toggle desktop icons size between large and small in XP, but I forgert how . . . . if that can be done at all.

I found it, but it doesn't look like it's freeware. I'm sure a free utlity can do the same thing, no? I tried iconoid but it cant do it . . .
Thanks anyway, max ;-)

The PC Magazine utility library is available by subscription only. Not freeware . . . . and I'm not motivated to subscribe.

There is another app called "View" or something similar, made for XP. It allows you to have the text on the right side, such as in its "thumbnail view", without having to be in the 16x16 icon size, list view of wintidy.

T-clock 2 will alow you to do so but would reduce the icon size.

NO, that's not true. You can use t-clock 2 to get transparent text label background without"small icon view" by unchecking the 16x16 icon size option.
