Rainlenday is nice and basic. A really great PIM is Outlook. Its the only good microsoft product I have ever used. I think that is the only time I have ever used microsoft and good in the same context.
rainlender is customizable. supports transparencies. it can handle different languages. it can work in litestep. it can remember any event you want for as long as you want. is supports a type of 'skinning'.
there’s also a program called 'calenz' and yet another called 'wallpaper calendar'. all seem pretty similar.
