Wrong

"... the Nazi swastika can easily be confused with Buddhist swastikas that are common in Asia. The two symbols are close to being reverse images of one another, with the arms pointing in opposite directions."

That statement is damn wrong. The Buddhist symbol has three versions, facing to the right, facing to the left, and two opposite facing ones overlapping each other as one. So you see, the Nazi symbol is the same as the Buddhist symbol. Granted that there is also a crocked cross design in European traditions, but the Nazi did copy the Asiatic design after one of their philosophical founders, took a trip to a Tibetan monastery. The very word, swastika is actually a derivative from ancient Sanskrit.

Well there is one difference. The Nazi symbol is in a diamond position (tilted), while the Buddhist symbol is normal (but not always) in a square position.

but the nazi "hakenkreuz" can also be "lying" on the side, so these figurines are very mistakable....

It is the symbol of the sun. Only when it is in the "Diamond Position" does it represent war.
