first of all, hand out the specs of your computer... if what you're trying to render has like
89127391283478912 faces then we know your computer is not gonna handle it
second....think about lights , shadows, reflections
get rid of any of the following if they do not add to your rendered image....(i.e. if you were rendering a house, you'd want a reflective window pane...but since you might be rendering abstract nothingness....a whole raytraced object with hyperNURBS on it might not be a good idea , unless you want that kinda look)
give out the system specs, and the specs of your rendered (or un rendered) scene....and ill see what i can come up w/.

you could increase the page file.

basically, it might be too much geometry for your computer, maybe you've got a lot of faces to start off with , then adding nurbs to it doesn't make it better....i know there's an option for max and the brazil render plugin for max...to 'save memory' while rendering...its a REAL slow process, but if you render things out at PRINT resolution like me...it's only just playing the waiting game at that point...without having to worry if your machine took a dump in the memory dept.

The default division setting for hypernurbs in C4D is 3, try turning it down to 1 and it should render fine. When I have a very complicated render I leave it going on my spare PC - one time for four days. If you want quality and high resolution and you don't have a cluster of dual CPU xeons - you just have to be patient.

Hey, I had a problem like this, I tried everything, i knew it was possible for ym comp to do this render, but it wouldnt, try rendering it as a video to an untextured version, then if that works make sure every texture works, one out of my about 100 didnt work, and that would let it render
