Some of you really disgust me. Is there nothing you believe in enough to fight for it? Jesus christ, where's your dignity at? If you live here I think you need to represent your home and fight to protect it. If you're not willing to get the fuck out.

YOU are not as important as you'd like to belive. If you save two peoples lives, your life wasn't forfeit. Some things are worth dying for.

Time to protect what has treated you so well as to let you live here. If it comes to war, I'm dropping out and joining the marines. If I can take out even two of the opposite then it was worth it to help my side.

And if I live, I'll be able to say, I served during the wtc disasters. What will you be able to say? "I got the fuck out of there cause I dont want to die, oh yeah and I'm a coward who thinks their life is worth more than any other persons there."

Well first things first, you can't run to Mexico TK, the border is closed off, i've got a friend in Southern Texas who can't find his wife and kids because of it. That upsets me.

As for dying for a cause, i've done this dance several times. I'm not going to kill someone in a war. Period. I'll be in a support structure of a military operation but i REFUSE to take a gun and put a bullet through anyone. I cannot deal with something like that on my conscience. Just the same No War is Rightous. Justice is not brought about by wanton destruction nor mass murder of civilans.

The USA is gearing up for a war.

They've pulled out the flags, they've rallied the people, they want a scapegoat and that scares the crap out of me. Our enemy is one that lurks in shadows and strikes without warning and then fades back into darkness, a phantom in the truest sense of the word. We, the lumbering titan of the world enraged desperately grasping and striking at air, the image is almost comical in its absurdity. And so we prepare for war with noone, and the question becomes when are they going to find a scapegoat? Jump the gun on a suspect? This is a time for calmness and reason, this is our Day Of Infamy, but we have no Roosevelts, or Churchills.

No good things will come of this.

Ok I agre we shouldnt pick a target a fire. But we need to find out for certain who did it and punish said person/group exactly how we would any other mass murderer. Kill them alot and kill them painfully. Im not a violent guy. But, If we sit here and take the attitude of not being in the political assasination biz anymore. And if we sit here and say "We're better than that, we're not going to stoop to that level", well then guess what every terrorist who IS willing to stoop that low is gonna see it as open season on the us. And i for one, do not have an umbrella strong enough to protect me from a rain of jet liners.

It won't be as hard as we think finding a target. As you have all already heard, Bin Laden is one of the few elite members of terrorist circles who has the wealth, intelligence, drawing power, and enough hatred to be in at least some way responsible for the disaster.

Check this out: Did some digging through some news archives through this last decade for my employers. Older news stories indicate that videocassette tapes of Bin Laden's visage circulate through Afganistan just before a terrorist attack.

Those same video tapes were seen circulating only weeks ago...according to current speculation.

Although Bin Laden is the most likely suspect, there's no solid proof he's behind this mess.
And finding and capturing/killing him only to find out he wasn't the mastermind would only fuel the hatred of more crapped up fundamentalists.

Better to locate all suspects, find out who's guilty for certain and then help him into another plane of existence, preferably one of the lower planes too.

I also want to apologize for my rather stupid post near the top.. The shock hadn't entirely passed yet.

When and if, when and if. When war breaks lose, are you going into hiding? If war breaks lose, are you going into hiding?

"I'll be in a support structure of a military operation but i REFUSE to take a gun and put a bullet through anyone."

I'm afraid the enemy opposite you will not share your sentiment. Will you die without any struggle? Get on you knees and wait to be destroyed? Some times retaliation is necassary.

Today on the news I saw people in Palestine celebrating the attack in the street. Honestly, celebrating the death of thousands is pretty sick.

While I'd really love to line them all up and shoot them to little pieces, I think cursing their race for the next few generations and leaving them with a lovely glow-in-the-dark pigment to their skin sounds even more appealing.

To those who celebrated, I hope you all get nuked. And I hope I'm one of the people who is directly responsible for it. I wish after the bomb we could sow salt into your soil to make sure none of your crops would ever grow. But poisoning your population for generations to come should suffice. I wish I could see the look on your face when your children die of radiation poisoning.

Gear, I completely agree with you. If nothing is done in return our nation shows weakness. It's already shown its laziness and that is why this was able to take place to begin with. However I still have pride for this country. It is one of the most fair and just places to live in comparison to many other countries in this world. People in their daily lives may get sick of dealing with so many minor laws but they dont realize just how much more privelaged they are about what they CAN do than other countries. IF war breaks out Im going to defend the laws and rights that have kept this country out of total chaos. That and because my best friend has already been enlisted in the military over a year now stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX and I think it would be respectful to his parents that i do my best to watch out for his well being. =)
I don't believe I would have any problem whatsoever putting a bullet into an enemy soldier, they had no problem putting a plane through a civilian structure... I would like to say "bomb" any part of the country housing the fugitives but what damage can we possibly do that they havent already done to themselves? look at their cities from all their in-fighting... its already rubble anyhow.

These people are sick and demented. They come to America, crashing airplanes into buildings, sacraficing their own lives, and thousands of others. America, on the other hand, is layed back. Too layed back. We've gotten so cocky that we won't thoroughly check bags. And the people that work at Airlines shouldn't even work there. At least not at the amount of money they get paid. They get paid minimum waige. And yet they practically risk their lives each day because there is probably always somebody planning to cause mass destruction, terrorism.

And people like Osama Bin Laden, who wish harm against all people of a pariticular race, religion, culture, or area, should suffer. Bigtime. God should take them into his hands, and crush them like the stupid, ignorant cockroaches that they are.

The person/people who conducted this terrorism or had anything to do with it, deserve to suffer the terrible fate they get.

They WILL be hunted down. They WILL be brought to justice. I believe that we will find who did this. At least within the next three months. Although I hope much much sooner. We should do to them exactly what they are doing to us.

Another World War? I sure do hope not. Because we know that someone will use nuclear weaponery. Do you realise that just maybe one nuclear bomb could wipe out man kind as we know it? If we do go to war, we shouldn't use bombs. We, and whoever else is involved, should fight the old way. No bombs. I just can't handle the thought of being here, and the next second, gone. Without any time to realise what is happening, what has happened.

Personally, I think whoever did what they did on the dreaded day of September 11, 2001 should be locked in a room, tied up very tightly, alone, with the exeption of 5 large dogs.

And even if Osama Bin Laden didn't have anything to do with this, he still deserves to die. Just by what he said about America, and that he wishes all Americans dead. He says all Americans are tagets. I hope the next time we see him somewhere live in another country, we should send everything we've got at him. With the exception of the nuclear warheads, of course.

All this will end up in tragedy, one way or another. But I just hope that America lives on, for thousands of years to come.

God Bless America.

"We'gotten so cocky that we won't thoroughly check bags."

I don't think you can blame the aiport security, or anyone in America, for what happened. Firstly, the terrorists used box cutters, which are legal to bring on airplanes since they aren't considered weapons, so even if they were found in the bags, security would have no reason to stop them.

Secondly, I believe it is virtually impossible to protect a country against a small group of terrorists if they are willing to commit suicide for their "cause," as was clearly the case.

First, ben Laden the son of a very rich Saoudi, who got his first taste of war with the Afgan fundamentalists who were fighting the USS invasion. He was then a US allied, and he received millions of dollars from the CIA to set up training camp in Pakistan (1984) and Afganistan (1986).
In 1989, USSR leaves Afganistan and ben Laden returns home, in Saoud Arabia.
There, he starts to oppose the Saoud government who wants to invite the USA to set up a base on the arab ground. Lets understand that Saoud Arabia harbours two holy places: the Mequa and Medina. To him, like many muslims, no non-islamic should ever be allowed to set foot in this sacred land.
But when, in response to Irak's invasion of Kuweit in 1990, the US troups set up base in his sacred country, ben Laden gets very angry. He calls upon his old allieds in Afganistan and accused king Fahd to have "sold" the holy land to the Great Satanic America, #1 allied to his other hated nation: Israel.
Hunted down by his country's secret services, he escapes to Yemen then in Soudan, in Khatoum, where his network, Al-Kaida first takes shape.
Follows a vast series of terrorist attacks, throughout the world, mainly concentrating on american targets.
In 1996, as a result of increased pressure from Washington and Riyad, Soudan asks ben Laden to leave the country. That's when he sets up his new base in Afganistan, where he has been ever since, and where he has set up military training camps where are trained many terrorist and revolutionnary recruits from around the world: Tchetchenia, Ouzbekistan, Pakistan, China and many arab countries in the Midle-East. In May of this year, in Pakistan, he called upon the yound arab generation to prepare for a Holy War in Afganistan, because in these times of deep crisis, it is an obligation for every Muslim.

Any one else ever notice just how often religion is responisible for mass carnage and death?
Faith and belief in the divine is both mankinds greatist asset and its worst flaw. Faith can spark works like Notra Dame, Stonehenge, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Temple of the Rock, the founding of The Red Cross, leaders like Gandi, Mother Terrisa, Churchhill and Plato. It also spawns The Spanish Inquisition, Hitler, Stalin, the Crusades, the Aztec Temple of Blood, the slaugter of millions because they don't agree with someones beliefs.
Faith and belief are our greatist tools and the worst weapons imagainable at the same time.

-------------------------

terribly sorry!

well the absolute stunning part of this whole catastrophic chain of events was that it was pulled off so simply and quickly. Really this plan was a stroke of genious, the terrorists brought next to nothing onto the plane, nothing that would tip their hand, and grabbed something that was effectively a weapon with the highest possible yeild short of an actual military weapon. This is what is called resourcefulness. This also what is called 'horrific'.

Pod, I'm glad you reposted what Incidence had to say. This topic is what I believe makes America and all forms of Democracy great. What is that topic you may ask.......the separation of Church and State.

I believe that some individuals can combine religious and political beliefs but when incorporated into a group it never works. I'm not against religion but when a group of people have religious beliefs and they expect all members to abide by those beliefs there is always misinterpretations of "religious law"

Think of this....the populations within the Middle East have been at war longer than history can document. The United States has a governed history of less than 250 years. I would not consider us a country at war with others to impose our religious beliefs. We are a country at war to defend the rights of all beliefs.

Bin Laden and all other terrorists must not die for their religous beliefs, they must die for their political actions based on their religious beliefs.
